Cruise Ship Disaster Becomes A Personal Injury Attorney’s Priority

One of the most tragic accidents that has ever happened at sea in over a century has got to be the Costa Concordia accident which recently took place in Italy. An attorney from New York, by the name of Mitchell Proner, is actively seeking a class action lawsuit against the company. What sets Proner apart from other attorney’s you may ask? Well, not only is he a great accident attorney, but he also speaks Italian. Specializing in morotcycle accident lawsuits primarily, Proner has decided that because of the tragic event, and how easily it could have been prevented, he is going to persue a class action lawsuit. As soon as the accident happened, Proner hopped a plane over the Italy to speak with an Italian Consumer group. On Proner’s website, he claims that he can help victims of this unfortunate accident claim up to $160,000 per passenger…and possibly even more for passengers who suffered greater complications.

Micky Arison, Chairman and CEO of Carnival Corp, had this to say about the tragic event:

“I give my personal assurance that we will take care of each and every one of our guests, crew and their families affected by this tragic event. Our company was founded on this principle and it will remain our focus,” said Micky Arison, chairman and CEO of Carnival Corporation & plc.

I sure would hate to be the CEO of a company like Carnival when something like this goes down. Also, it appears that Carnival’s stock price, as of yet, has dropped 20% it will likely drop further with a slow and steady rise over an extended period of time, as the public and investors slowly begin putting it’s trust back into Carnival Corp.

This accident was extremely tragic, and could have been prevented had the captain of the ship not been such hard headed fool.
